By Dominic Shaw on 05/03/2021

With the release of the first annual report for #RaiseTheGame, this milestone alongside the overall EDI achievements made by pledge partners and supporters over the last year can now be celebrated through a more visually way during the Diverse Content, Diverse Creators #RaiseTheGame Showcase

Streamed live on Twitch from 5pm GMT on Thursday 11th March and hosted by Shay Thompson, the showcase will feature games starring diverse characters, a panel of experts discussing representation within the industry and insight from the #RaiseTheGame founding partners.

Shay Thompson, Freelance Journalist and Presenter for major clients including BAFTA Games, McLaren Shadow and Xbox UK. Shay is also a producer at Glass House Games - a games media outlet based in London, and is the founder of Level Up Link Up - an initiative aiming to make the games industry a more diverse place.

The showcase is not only a celebration, but also a showing of the level of collaboration that  occurs around the pledge as various pledge partners and supporters have contributed to the showcase by submitting footage and game trailers for diverse and representative games out now and coming soon. Not to mention the showcase was co-produced with the assistance of Liquid Crimson, an award winning, full-service creative production studio based in Surrey.

Featured in the showcase will be a panel session of expert professionals discussing representation in games - from left to right in descending order: Chris Goodyear (Founder of Many Cats Studios CIC), Sarah Dyer (Community Manager at Splash Damage), Kat Welsford (Digital Analyst at Square Enix Europe) and Anisa Sanusi (UI/UX Designer at Roll7 and Founder of Limit Break Mentorship).

It has been a crazy 12 months since the pledge launched, yet here it is still standing and thriving by encouraging and championing the industry to commit to long term improvements in equality, diversity and inclusivity.
